Bored Stiff?

So bored today that life as you know it has ended? Try some of these:

  1. Make silly noises until someone tells you to shut up.
  2. See how many socks you can wear on one foot.
  3. Make animal noises until they start making sense.
  4. Save a rainforest (although this might take a while).
  5. Play I-Spy blindfolded.
  6. Sing ’1 Million Green Bottles’ all the way down to 1.
  7. Make a card for someone you love.
  8. Make a card for someone you definitely do not love.
  9. Pick up a tea bag, study it closely and fall in love with it. If you can love your tea bag, you can love anything and anyone.
  10. Hover over the links at the top-right of the page.
  11. Paint Mona Lisa’s back.
  12. Give some support to a worthwhile cause. Our cause of the year is Chestnut Tree House, a children's hospice in Arundel, West Sussex. To find out more about them and the type of support you can give please visit www.chestnut-tree-house.org.uk

The Royal Oak, Wineham - best value for quality food we've found in Sussex so far - and The Lazy Toad, Shoreham-by-Sea - lovely, friendly, welcoming atmosphere, very well kept range of kegged real ales and several reasonable wines at excellent prices

The Ram Inn, Firle: visited 23rd April, what a shame, lovely pub in beautiful setting, but poorly presented & very overpriced food, filthy toilets, beer & wine served in dirty glasses, wine overpriced, but worst of all the staff all appeared to feel customers (those who weren't obviously friends / regulars) were a total and utter inconvenience

The Gardeners Arms, Ardingly: visited 16th April just after noon (so not at all busy - only five customers), ordered jacket potato and pint of lager, potato not warm enough to melt the butter on it, salad brown and should have been thrown the day before at latest, lager tasted as if pipes were well overdue for a clean, and staff comment was, "Oh well." !!!

So much to list and so little time! We’re working in Sussex and Surrey at the moment on Parks and Open Spaces and the best dog friendly pubs. If you know of anywhere great to go that we haven’t listed yet, especially for the whole family, please let us know. Thank you
